Renovating is a massive undertaking and my 1960’s Killara home was in much need of repair and renewal. From the word go, I knew I was in good hands with DFC. Recommended to me by a friend, David and his team surpassed all expectations, from the quoting stage through to completion. My home has been transformed completely into a beautiful, light-filled and practical living space. We wanted to take the time to write you this testimonial to thank you and your team for the exceptional job completed at our home in Balgowlah. We engaged Ferrari Constructions after having seen a number of your projects completed in the suburb. Being an early 1900s Californian Bungalow and we had detailed architectural plans drawn up to both freshen the original character and modernise our home, most importantly we wanted to ensure the build was sympathetic to the original bungalow heritage.
It’s fair to say that not only did you meet the architectural brief, but you managed to exceed our expectations. The quality of the renovation was first class and most importantly your communication through the build process ensured we were completely comfortable at all times during the build, from contract to completion.
The finished product is fantastic and we are proud to call it our home. We found you and the team professional, efficient, easy to communicate with and able to bring our vision to life. At one point a simple photo of a spotted gum balustrade was all that was required for your team to work out a solution to create a particular look for us. That balustrade is one of our favourite features of our home!
The DFC team working on our residence were always friendly and produced top quality work. We loved our regular site meetings to check out the progress and were always impressed at the amount of work that had been completed since our last visit, in fact we were able to shave weeks of the contracted time schedule even with multiple changes that we requested along the way. Subsequently we were able to move in just before Christmas which saved us thousands in rent!
We loved having our first Christmas in our refurbished home and would recommend Ferrari Constructions to anyone without hesitation. Our house is now our forever home that we are extremely proud of. Please pass on our thanks to the rest of your team.
We engaged David Ferrari Constructions to carry out major renovations and extensions to our residence in Frenchs Forest in January 2016.
The major new work entailed the removal of a stand alone open brick garage and external concrete stairway leading to our tri-storey split level home and replace with an integrated garage, large sunroom, internal entry stairway and external deck and associated works. An important objective was to integrate the new works with the existing home in both materials and profile.
David and his team carried out the works to our full satisfaction. David is a hands-on builder, readily available to sort out issues as they occurred, and to offer sound suggestions to enhance the project. David’s team were great to have around – nothing seemed difficult for them, and they worked so well together.
We highly commend David as his team for their professionalism and attention to detail to ensure the interfaces between the existing and the new works were exacting, especially as the supplied engineering and architectural drawings were light on detail in this regard. In particular, the team’s attention to ensure a watertight interface was most successful.
The work was completed in May 2016. We believe the best testimony to the quality of the team’s work is the fact there has been no need for any follow-up work since.

We have received compliments from our friends on the attention to detail and overall quality (workmanship) of the extension. All of them loved everything about the extension starting with the beautiful Blackbutt floor, the majestic sliding doors and the inventive feature column separating the Kitchen from the family room. The large and open living space has improved the practicality of our home and my friends are truly excited to spend some time with us in our new home.

From the beginning David Ferrari stood out from the other builders we got quotes from because his quote was very detailed and easy to understand. His itemised quote helped us to understand how much each aspect of our renovation would cost not just a final figure.
David visited us and was very friendly and easy going and easy to work with when we asked him to re-quote when we modified our design to keep to our budget. David was very knowledgeable about what we could do within our budget during our initial meetings and this set our minds at ease. We felt that he was being very honest and wanted to try and give us the best possible solutions for our extension within our budget. He was extremely flexible and patient while we considered our options and was happy to come back to us after we delayed the project for 12 months for personal reasons.
David and his team of builders and all the other trades he used on our renovation were the most pleasant guys to have around. They were happy to take time to talk to me about the jobs progress and David made many suggestions for both design and materials which both improved the final construction and helped to solve some problems that came up during the job due to my inexperience and design miscalculations by my draftsman and engineer.

I employed David Ferrari and his team originally to install a pergola at our home. I was so impressed with his professionalism, and his attitude to the finer details, that I soon had his team doing a lot more around our home, including a cedar walkway around our spa area, removing a window and installing French doors, and recently a full sized deck which has added to the value of our home. That deck is seriously my favourite room in our home, and nothing was too hard for David, even accompanying me to see other decks in the area to source some ideas. He sourced the best materials, worked hard and diligently and always cleaned up after the job was done. This made all the difference.

We used David Ferrari Constructions for a project to open up the back of our 1920s house. This entailed the remodelling of interior rooms, installation of folding doors across the back of the house, the construction of a new bathroom/laundry and the building of a large deck.
We are very happy with the results that Dave provided. He had practical suggestions for the development as well as an eye for the detail that enabled the features of the new rooms to blend in with the style of the house. Our previous home at Balgowlah Heights, was in need of some major renovations, which included new cedar bi-fold doors and windows, replacement of weatherboards to the second floor with blue board, to allow for a finished render effect to the ground & first floors, new terraces and front door steps, new brickwork for the back of the house, new internal feature walls, a new kitchen and new hardwood timber floors and tiles.
We selected David Ferrari to carry out these major works as he presented himself as a very knowledgeable, honest and professional builder. He demonstrated his abilities almost immediately whilst going through the designers’ drawings, eliminating unnecessary expenses.
